Read the passage. taking notes, the police officer had julie and rebecca explain again exactly what they found. he smiled as they got into his patrol car and took a ride to the “crime scene.” looking down in the sand, his demeanor changed from tolerant to serious. he took pictures of the scene. soon they were joined by another police officer, and then the officers roped off the area. what does the police officer think of the girls’ story before they arrive at the scene? he is nervous about the situation. he is amused by the story and does not take it seriously. he is serious about the information. he is worried about what the girls tell him they found.
