Why would a love poem be suited for sonnet form? shakespearean language tends to be more ornate and beautiful. the rhythm and rhyme follow a set scheme, leading to a more pristine, flawless presentation. fourteen  lines is just enough space to declare one's love. anything less would prove that the love was indeed fraudulent.
