A rhetorical question is a question you ask without expecting a answer. the question could be one that has a answer so obvious that it doesnt require a answer, one that has no answer or you could use a rhetorical answer to prove a point. is the sky blue? is a rhetorical answer because its so obvious it doesnt need a answer (or you could just look up). hope i helped :)
 

A rhetorical question is a question that someone may ask without expecting an answer at all. or it may also be a question with an OBVIOUS answer. So which one do you think is rhetorical? "Is the sky blue" is your answer. 

The man thinks she's the lady he's trying to find. she then lifts the veil and he announces that he'd made a mistake and that he'd thought she was the woman, but had been wrong. truthfully, though, he'd been right. this reveals that the he didnt recognize her (though he said he would recognize her voice or her build) and that he's still looking for the girl. he doesnt find the woman appealing or attractive, and is more or less disgusted by her appearance. he didn't understand what the lady meant when she told him the story about her "friend"
