Definition: Imagery is a vivid and descriptive language that helps us evoke pictures or ideas in our minds that appeal to our senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste or touch. This language is usually employed in literary works to add beauty to it and to help the readers feel more connected to the piece of writing.

Example: "Romina, tired as she was, sat down on her bed and simply hugged the soft and warm pillow."

In this sentence, imagery is employed because the adjectives "soft" and "warm" used for the pillow appeal to our sense of touch, it help us picture and feel what Romina felt.
