Explain how the antihero archetype differs from the hero archetype

The Anti-hero and the Hero both strive for good.The only difference between the two is the way they achieve their goals.  

A Hero follows the law and tries to resolve things as peacefully as possible. In comics and Marvel movies we would see the hero as spider man or Iron man.

A Antihero doesn't follow the law. Antihero's usually have good intentions but bad morals. In comics and Marvel movies Venom would be seen as a Antihero.

the servant does not kill the child oedipus as he was ordered to do because "he pitied the child" based on the oedipus rex story. the servant was ordered to kill the child because of the prophecy that predicted king laius' death. the king already had attempted to hurt oedipus by piercing oedipus's ankle. however, the servant did not finish the job and he rather saved the baby oedipus.
