What strategies would you use if you found a word you did not know in your text?

Take a gander at the pieces of the word. Are there any roots in the word? Does the word sound like another word you know?

Separate the sentence. What would you be able to find out about the word dependent on the data in the sentence?

Chase for pieces of information. Are there definitions, equivalents, antonyms, or accentuation that give signs about the word's importance?

Consider demonstrative significance (thoughts, sentiments, or relationship past the word reference definition). Does the word have positive or negative meanings?

When you have a supposition, substitute your statement or expression for the new word to check whether it works.
