Read the passage.
Which statement best expresses the claim?
All students should complete some type of post-
secondary education after high school graduation,
Setting this goal and reaching it prepares students for
patterns of lifelong goal-setting and teaches them some
very important life lessons. People who don't set
personal goals are like rafts being adrift at sea. They
never know where they are or where they are going
Goal-setting teaches students that having a set
destination gives their lives purpose and structure.
Goals motivate them to turn their thoughts, dreams,
and ideas into reality. They learn new things and how to
accomplish their goals. Students who stay true to their
goals also learn that some things are worth waiting for
The key? Keeping the personal ship on course.
O Having a specific goal is like having a life raft on
journey
O It is important for students to continue their
education after high school
O Reaching a destination is more important than
having a goal.
It is necessary that students strive to graduate fre
high school.
