For example;

When you have a bad day and you decide to not let it ruin your day and dont let that define your day, your being optimistic. Your not letting the bad get to you. If you did then you would have a bad attitude. this would cause possible tension in your relationships, a decrease in your work effort and just all around worsen your mood, this could make you depressed during the day and possibly, if you let it stay with you throught the whole day and into the next day or possibly even the next week, you could be very sad and would make your whole outlook on life change. You become sluggish, lethargic, and under- motivated. This severely effects your work life, social life, and education life.
