My mom recruited me to help her plant sweet potatoes in our garden this year. We used to grow regular white potatoes. However, my mom read an article two months ago about how sweet potatoes cause a person's blood sugar to rise 30 percent less than white potatoes
do. Ever since, she has wanted to plant sweet potatoes instead this year. Plus, sweet potatoes are packed with lots of Vitamin A and
Vitamin C-another reason for my mom wanting to make the switch.
I decided to do some research about sweet potatoes and was impressed with what I found. They can help your skin look more clear
and smooth. They help lower blood pressure. I also learned that a sweet potato bruises easily and that the bruise can spread quickly on
the potato. We should not store the sweet potatoes in the refrigerator. This causes them to go bad more quickly. The more I learn about
sweet potatoes, the more excited I get about growing and eating them!
