It gives us two values, one regarding the force with which the heart pushes the blood to the rest of the body, which would be the systolic pressure, and another value that tells us the pressure to which the arteries are subjected between one impulse and the other, that is, the pressure exerted by the blood after cardiac relaxation. This value corresponds to the diastolic pressure. The pressure value gives us valuable information about the state of the circulatory system of the person, however these values are not valid if the blood pressure has not been taken correctly.
