Muir, and Wordsworth both have wonderful, unique ways of expressing their feelings for nature. Muir's view of nature is unique and detailed. He explains how much he loves nature and loves to "wander many a long wild fertile mile in the forests and bogs, free as the winds, gathering plants, and glorying God's abounding inexhaustible spiritual beauty...". He also talks about his struggles and he often had to "sleep without blankets, and sometimes without supper...". But still, he has a love for nature despite his struggles for food and blankets. In all of this conflict in his life, he was still content and happy to experience nature's beauty. Muir's tone was also sad or depressed. The tone he used sounded gloomy. Whenever he would talk about nature, you could see the love he has for nature and how amazing he thinks it is. Wordsworth explained that he "wandered as a lonely cloud" and by this, we can tells he is feeling sad. But then, he finds these beautiful, yellow daffodils and he showed us how beautiful he viewed these flowers and the wonderful beauty he saw in them. This shows us how powerful nature is. Both of these people felt lonely at the beginning, but the beauty of nature filled their hearts and made them happy! My teacher asked me to write an essay about poetry and didn't give me a certain amount of words to put in. she just gave me a sheet of things I have to include in my essay. I feel like this is wayy too short to be an essay so I'm not sure if I should turn it in. opinions please?
