Read the conversation between Louise and Mark. How should Mark adjust his behavior to be a more
effective discussion participant? Select two options
He should address the topic with Louise after the
discussion
He should keep the discussion on schedule by
moving to the next topic.
He should ask a question to clarify the cost of the
Scoreboard.
LOUISE. If we decide to order a new scoreboard for
the gym, we should probably order it before the end of
next week. I reached out to the manufacturer and
learned that the scoreboard we've discussed will take
three months to build and ship. If we place the order
next week, the scoreboard will arrive just in time for the
new school year. Unfortunately, shipping takes-
MARK, interrupting Louise. Placing an order requires a
50 percent deposit up front in the form of a certified
check. I'm not sure I can get a check from the
treasurer by next week. I'm not even sure we have
enough money saved to pay for it.
LOUISE. Thanks for the reminder, Mark. Kristin, how
much have we raised in candy bar sales so far? The
total cost with shipping is $1,400.00, but with the
sponsorship money, the total comes to only $580.
He should raise his hand to indicate that he wants to
enter the conversation.
He should take notes reminding himself to do
research on shipping times later.

Which two elements does this excerpt from a christmas carol by charles dickens contain? "a small matter," said the ghost, “to make these silly folks so full of gratitude." "small! " echoed scrooge. the spirit signed to him to listen to the two apprentices, who were pouring out their hearts in praise of fezziwig: and when he had done so, said, "why! is it not? he has spent but a few pounds of your mortal money: three or four perhaps. is that so much that he deserves this praise? " "it isn’t that," said scrooge, heated by the remark, and speaking unconsciously like his former, not his latter, self. "it isn't that, spirit. he has the power to render us happy or unhappy; to make our service light or burdensome; a pleasure or a toil. say that his power lies in words and looks; in things so slight and insignificant that it is impossible to add and count ’em up: what then? the happiness he gives, is quite as great as if it cost a fortune." he felt the spirit's glance, and stopped. "what is the matter? " asked the ghost. "nothing particular," said scrooge. "something, i think? " the ghost insisted. "no," said scrooge, "no. i should like to be able to say a word or two to my clerk just now. that's all."
