getting better at anything requires patience, persistence and pressuring oneself with high expectations. People generally try to avoid and dislike failure, but there are many times when loss is part of the path that eventually leads to success. Think of a time when you faced setbacks but accomplished a challenging goal that was important to you. Describe how you motivated yourself and what inspired you through the process when others might have gotten discouraged. What role did failure play in your eventual success? Was failure a learning experience or a step you needed to go through before accomplishing your goal?
