This semester we have read three different genres: Unit 1: Early American and Colonial Literature (up to 1776)
Units 2 and 3: American Romanticism (1820-1870)
Unit 4: Realism and Regionalism (1870-1910)
Often times, genres from different time periods overlap based on common social elements. Pick TWO assigned readings from Units 1-4 that share similarities which represent common social elements AND also explain how they are different from each other (i. e. Theme, purpose, style, figurative language, historical significance, etc.) (16 points)
Your answer should be in 1-2 paragraphs (4-5 sentences in each)
You may NOT use the same author as in question 21
