People often procrastinate because they either feel that it is too much effort or that they will fail at the task at hand. Procrastination can get people into all sorts of trouble - missing deadlines, failing certain assignments, and missing opportunities are all surface-level instances of the trouble procrastination can get you in. I often find myself thinking the same way as the instant gratification monkey from the video. I sometimes tend to prioritize watching Netflix over important things such as my assignments and thus procrastination occurs. As a result, I do things at the last minute, and that is when the "panic monster" steps in. All of a sudden, there is a seemingly insurmountable workload that I have to tackle, and I begin to feel overwhelmed. Regardless, I do think procrastination is a choice - a hard choice for some nonetheless, but it all boils down to self-will and discipline in the end.
