Famine is a threatening issue in our community. It occurs mainly due to crop failure. Furthermore, it is usually accompanied by malnutrition, starvation, epidemics and increased mortality.

Most people culminate in selling all their belongings just to get a little bit of food. Some of them end up becoming homeless only to realize their spurious actions.

The business most people own are small stores that sell farm implements. They do not earn any profit since people no longer farm due to unfavourable climatic conditions. The environment is not that conducive as it is highly polluted with fumes from vehicles passing by.

Community elders came up with a solution of contributing enough funds to purchase whole foods for the people; so as to eat healthy. They would cook large portions of food and use leftovers to save money.
