Read the passage from "Husky-Wolf Dog of the North." But the husky is far from uninteresting. As a type of endurance, no better evolved product of natural
selection need be sought. If ever a species has been born and bred of hard times, it has. Only the fittest, in
a struggle for existence extending through a thousand thousand generations, have survived. And they are
well fit. Domesticated by the savage autochthons of that forbidding region, they may not only account their
remote ancestors as wild wolves, but often their immediate forebears.
How well does the evidence in the passage support the idea that huskies are animals built for survival?
Husky-Wolf Dog of the North
It supports the idea well because it states that huskies live through hard conditions and have lived over
many generations.
O It supports the idea well because it uses statistical data to prove the huskies' survival capabilities.
O It doesn't support the idea well because it compares huskies unfavorably to another animal.
O It doesn't support the idea well because it describes the ways huskies have failed to adapt.

Something there is that doesn't love a wall, that sends the frozen-ground-swell under it, and spills the upper boulders in the sun; and makes gaps even two can pass abreast. the work of hunters is another thing: i have come after them and made repair where they have left not one stone on a stone, but they would have the rabbit out of hiding, to the yelping dogs. the gaps i mean, no one has seen them made or heard them made, but at spring mending-time we find them there. whom does the speaker blame for the gaps in the wall? himself his neighbor nature and hunters rabbits and dogs

Like a boil that can never be cured as long as it is covered up but must be opened with all its pus-flowing ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must likewise be exposed, with all of the tension its exposing creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured. mood: tone:
