The Night The night is
a thief of day
stealing the sun
and its warming rays.
A robber of time
for jobs and chores
taking hours we need
and giving back no more.
A stealer of fun
and running and playing
borrowing moments
but never repaying.
Daily night snatches
children's chances to play
forcing them to rest
til the sun saves the day!
