THE MAGICIANS Have you ever seen a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat? Magicians such as these perform illusions. They perform tricks using animals, people, and special equipment. One popular illusion has the magician places an assistant in a large box and saws the box in half. The assistant gets out unharmed every time! Another kind of magician is one who performs close up magic. These magicians perform tricks with cards and small objects. Even when members of the audience stand close to the magician, they still cannot figure out how tricks are done. 1. based on the text, what popular illusion does the magician have?
