'Harrison Bergeron' is a dystopian novel about a civilization whose quest for perfection went terribly wrong. The story's culture is based on the principle of equality, but brains and strength have been lost as a result. The central issue in 'Harrison Bergeron' is Hazel and George's kid, Harrison, who was a genius, an athlete, and was physically challenged. As a result, he attempted to topple the government, but the Handicapper General shot him.
