Jackson woke up miserably. He scratched his brown hair and groaned. He lazily managed to get out of bed and walked over to the kitchen. He smacked his hand firmly on the counter top. His father was frying some eggs, sprinkling a fair share of pepper and salt on each side.

"Morning, sleepyhead!" he says peacefully, and opens the pantry up. Aromas of dried tomatoes and expired peach rings explode in the air. He grabs a bottle of paprika spice and on his way takes a quick look at the clock.

"Jackson!" he screams, "It's 13 minutes past 9! Your supposed to be at school". Jackson groans and gets his school bag ready, he heads out of the door.

A vaguely familiar sight appears. It's the school bus, and it's heading away from him! "Come back" Jackson screams as he runs after it. But it's no use, the bus is long gone now.
