Let's consider how persuasive texts are relevant to our everyday lives. Use a mobile research device (phone, tablet, computer, etc.) to find a meme or other short media clip/image which you think has an
important underlying argument. Create a title for this meme/media clip or image, and state and briefly
evaluate its argument.
Now try finding the first known use of that meme/media clip or image, and what/why/how it was used, as
well as the many variations of it that were created. What are some of the ways in which people have
repurposed it, and why do you think they made those decisions? How might you repurpose it yourself
and make your own meme/media image or clip, and what/why/how would you use it? What would your
underlying argument be?
