Carefully read the short passage below and rearrange the paragraphs for effective communication. Use the paragraphs number to do the arrangements. *1* . Politeness in the twenty first century also means considerately sharing space in a crowded world. Having good manners mean not smoking in crowded public spaces, where smoke might effect others. Increasingly politeness has also come to include not wearing loud aftershave or Cologne to the office or theater. Similarly loud, bone shaking car stereos are usually enjoyed only by those who play them. Consideration for others means keeping the noise at a moderate level. While politeness might have once meant enjoying a conversation with a seatmate on a plane, now it often mean leaving her alone to work on her laptop computer. The more crowded the world becomes, the more it is necessary share space considerately.

*2* Manners are not dusty relics of a former age. They change with the world and must be tailored to meet with the new century. Manners for twenty first century, as in previous centuries are simply rules that help the world run smoothly.

*3* When the older man left the door swing that shut behind him, I thought he did not see the woman entering the health club behind him. She caught the door before it shut and went through, holding it, so I could enter behind her. As I walked into men's locker room behind him, he said " I don't hold doors for women any more. This days, women will tell you off if you try to hold doors for them". I just looked at him, amazed. For most people a changing world does not alter the need to be polite. The men's narrow mindedness prompted me to construct my own definition of good manners for the twenty first century.
