Expectation of school in a course of electrical ​

You should expect a very heavy work load of studying, and very challenging examinations. You should expect a very fascinating experience of finding new worlds opening for you, as you learn about things on the frontier of technology. You should expect to expand and greatly improve your mathematical skills and knowledge.

After graduation, you should expect to find many job opportunities, in many industries, assuming that you have done well academically and also developed your personality into someone attractive to be with. You should expect to be paid a high salary; statistically, higher than students from most other majors.

You should expect a lifetime of challenging, very fulfilling work.

But you should not expect fame, fortune, power, and a life of ease and privilege. Some EEs do achieve those things, but not many. Most have a life of relative obscurity, above-average though not spectacular income, limited power over other people but pretty often supervising other engineers or leading projects. A life of ease and privilege is not often associated with being an engineer.
