Once I was out with a friend, as it was a weekend and we had nothing much to do. We did not plan anything so we also did not think to inform his parents about us going out. And they also did not see us exit the house so they had no idea we had gone out.

As we were strolling and just talking, we ended up going to the nearby mall and decided to hang out for a bit. We then met our other friends who asked us to join them in watching a movie that was just recently released. Feeling free, we readily agreed. We also put our phones in silent mode so as not to be disturbed. Little did we know that there was a furor about our whereabouts while we were comfortable enjoying the movie. Once we exit the theater, we checked our phones to see if there have been any missed calls. But finding none, we felt relieved that our parents hadn't called us.

When we reached my friend's place, we saw that a number of people had gathered around the house. Thinking something bad had happened to his parents, we ran inside only to find them distraught. When they saw us, they were so angry and scolded us at once. They thought we had been taken away or we're lost and our phones were not reachable. Feeling relieved that we are safe, they made us promise never to go out again without informing them. My friend's father had admitted that the situation could have gotten worse as they had even thought of calling the police and filing a mission person. We had arrived just in time to save the situation.
