The first half of your assignment is to turn your argumentative research essay from Lesson 2 into a speech. The second halfofthe assignment is to provide a works-cited page that lists all
yoursources. You will also need to go back over the parenthetical citations in youressay so
that sources match up with the entries on your works-cited page.
To prepare your speech, you must boil down your essay into an outline. Your outline can appear
on sheets of paper, note cards, or some other medium. You'll then present your information
out loud to your classmates, using visual aids to help them understand your argument and get
them interested. The visual aids can be the same ones that appeared in your essay, or you can
use new ones.
Your speech should include the following elements:

hmm, lets see here. okay! so, i don't know the passages exactly since i haven't taken that quiz before, but! i will try to the best i can.

if you need on what igbo means, ill give you a hand.

igbo means a member of a people of southeastern nigeria.

so, they're asking you, "what passage uses igbo words or phrases and in at least 100 words, identify the kinds of context clues the author uses to hint at the words' meaning."

so basically, don't stress or over look this.

look closely at the passages and see if you can spot any of those hints! it doesn't have to be all, remember, its a quiz! no right or wrong answers.

the teachers are always there to and if you are struggling on this topic they will notice it in your score on the quiz and you.
