PLEASE HELP ME CHECK THIS FOR PUNCTUATION AND SPELLING :) Dewey gives a lot of facts on young teacher turnover rate and she also speaks to us who are reading by using intense words and language that causes us to be concerned about the issue. She says things like “disturbing implications for future generations” and “worrisome statistics” to make us squirm and think about the issue and how it relates to our own lives. Telling us “this is not a healthy attrition” causes us to side with her and want to make a change. Nobody wants to have “severe long-term effects” on the social structure of our society. If we don’t do something about it now, who is to say those turnover percentages won’t be higher in the future?
