LOST PROPERTY
It happened one day aboard the Antelope that Sam, the captain’s servant , whilst emptying the captain’s silver teapot, accidentally dropped the valuable article overboard. He was terrified as to what would happen when the captain found out, so he made up his mind to make things a little easier for himself.
‘Sir, is a thing lost when you know where it is?’ he asked the skipper.
‘Of course it isn’t , was the reply. ‘If you know where it is, it can’t be lost.’
‘Are you quite sure of that, sir?’ Sam asked anxiously.
‘As sure as I am that this ship is sailing the Pacific,’ said the captain.
‘Well, that makes me very happy indeed,’ said Sam. ‘Your silver teapot isn’t really lost, for I know where it is. It’s at the bottom of the ocean.

hmm, sadly there is no dialogue. there is no place in the story where he is talking to anyone. it's more of just describing what he eats and where he sleeps. you have to become anne frank, give details of where you are, what other folks look like, how the environment is. have a little bit of dialogue tell of what people are specifically saying. anne frank talked about her entire household including the people, the objects, the lighting, the food they ate, and even the smell in the air. there has to be more to your diary entries, the whole story in its current state is only about peter van daan, the food, the sounds, and where he sleeps. also he seems to be writing only once a year yet more than that happened from day to day. for a friend, i can you write it out, if you want.

the scene now shifts back to the shelby plantation in kentucky, where  aunt chloe  has just received the letter tom wrote her with little eva's . mrs. shelby tells her husband about the letter, in which tom says that although his new family is kind, he still longs to return to his "real home."

mr. shelby, in the meantime, has still been plagued by debt. mrs. shelby offers to raise money, especially so that they can buy tom. mr. shelby becomes angry, and his wife lets the unlikely hope drop for the present. chloe then calls for mrs. shelby and asks if she could be hired out as a pastry cook in louisville in order to earn money for tom. mrs. shelby gives chloe her blessing.
