At the close of chapter 19 of The First Men in the Moon, Bedford has finally found the sphere. Giving up Mr. Cavor for dead, he seals the manhole and switches the Cavorite shutters closed. At this point in the story, the conflict has all but been resolved, except for the question of whether Bedford will make it back to earth. Write a journal entry that summarizes your predictions for the closing chapters of The First Men in the Moon. Make sure it is realistic based on the plot details.
