What would you do if you found out that a child you care for usually trades away for school lunch for others’ cookies and candy?

If I was in this situation, I would let the child know that the lunch that is provided for them shouldn't be traded off simply because the other kid has better snacks. Ingesting too much sugar can lead to lots of health problems like obesity, diabetes, cavities, tooth decay, etc. After addressing the facts, I would remind the child that their lunch is more beneficial than they think and for a while check the child's lunch bag and backpack to make sure he isn't trading his food and is actually eating his lunch.
