At the end of the scene, both Friar Lawrence and the Nurse tell Romeo he is acting like a woman for being so sad and emotional. Do you think that it is fair to say this? In this time period, why might people have had different beliefs about women? I will mark you brainliest! Please don't scam me!

I personally do not think that it was fair for them to say this, either to Romeo or to women. Gender stereotypes were a lot more prevalent in the 13- and 1400s than they are now. People expected more of men than they did of women — they were not supposed to show weakness or sorrow.
