stirrings are another word for puberty, and the comunity dosent want people to go through puberty. Jonas’s parents are first aware that he is entering puberty when he has a dream of a sexual nature.  The dream shows that Jonas is beginning to have feelings for the opposite sex.  This is when the Stirrings pills start for each child. the community picks each childs job, spouse, the ammount of children they have, ect. if kids go through puberty, they lose control of every ones life because they kids want to go to each other, an dno who they get paired with
