Which textual evidence from “the interlopers” supports the conclusion that hatred eventually takes its own revenge?

The two main characters Ulrich and Georg were engaged in a family feud which rooted during their grandfathers' time. They defended both their claims by force and they ended up in a really bad situation. This only shows that when two parties hate each other and are driven by vengeance, they are bound to fail in the most drastic way.
