Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. Same as for Anthony and Cleopatra. The play version though. Yet, their love is very pure and is so strong that can be compared with the bible's story of the sulemite and her pastor. It's found in the Song of Solomon. I only put here the possible comparisons.

There are many differences and similarities between dramatic plays like Romeo and Juliet and letters or short stories. One similarity is that they are both pieces of writing and can revolve around the same idea. One difference is that dramatic plays are more developed and most of the time love stories.
