Ideas, works, and words that are someone else's must be documented because they are not original with the student they do not belong to the student they are someone's hard work, ideas, or words all of the above

the answer is all of the above.

if someone else has thought of an idea and used it, it is therefore the rights of them otherwise. people use "copyright" as a way of owning all right and preventing from people from copying and stealing.

when someone copies, it is not original to them, it doesn't technically belong to them and someone else's work has gone into it when little effort from that person has. it can also be called "plagiarism" when you pass off work as your own.
