The world is really a “melting pot” made up of many different cultures. it’s one of the many things that makes our world diverse. remember that culture is the customs & beliefs of a group of people. this can include food, dress, religion, language, etc. (what makes them unique).
for this constructed response, pretend that you as an american are having breakfast with your friend who is from eastern europe. after a few cups of coffee & donuts, you begin to see that you have a lot of cultural differences. pick 3 of the cultural differences between americans & eastern europeans and write a 5 - 7 sentence paragraph that details those differences. things you might choose to focus on are religion, language, food, music, traditions, etc. 1.04 people & culture of eastern europe is a great place in our course for you to find information on eastern european culture. you can also search the internet, but be sure to re-word & put it in your own words.
here is a structure you could use in writing your paragraph:

sentence 1: introduction to what culture is & how you & your friend have very different cultures.
sentence 2 & 3: state difference 1 & explain what it is like in america & then in eastern europe (ex: religion). provide some backup for your thought (ex. - statistics, %, fact,

sentence 5 & 6: state difference 3 & explain what it is like in america & then in eastern europe (ex: religion). provide some backup for your thought (ex. - statistics, %, fact,
sentence 7: summarize what you just wrote in a general conclusion sentence.
