What details indicate the problems of swift's own society?

During the times Swift wrote Gulliver's Travels. Ireland was facing struggle, the social and economical situation was hard for a big portion of the population. People were trying to look for new ways to make a  living.

That situation also reflected on the behavior of the people of Ireland and a lost of morals and ethics that is reflected in the writings for example when he makes an emphasis on how a domestic animal displays more "humanity" than humans and several other occasions in which he questions his society.
