Revising is the recurrent process of writing and rewriting an essay. This would focus more on content organization, or style. While editing focuses more on grammar.

2. Drafting

A draft is the writer's attmepts at putting down their ideas into words. There are usually multiple drafts in order to ensure that a completed work is revised and edited correctly.

3. Personal Essay

A personal essay usually talks about an important person or event in someone's life. The essay talks about Stafford's own experiences.

4. Nature Writing

Nature writing is nonfiction written about the natural environment. A caribou is part of nature.

5. Travel Writing

When you travel, you go to different, unique places. When writing about one of these unique places, you are doing travel writing.

6. Creative nonfiction

Nonfiction is based on fact. But, creative nonfiction means that facts are presented in a more interesting way, so it reads more like fiction.
