The small things: Velutha, Margaret Kochamma, and Sophie Mol exist outside the world of the Ayemenem House, but their interactions with the Ipe family are critical (and catastrophic) to the development of the story. Each of them has a different level of autonomy (freedom to act based on one's own values or interests), both in terms of their relationship to the family and in the rest of the world. Write a brief (1-2 paragraph) analysis of ONE character, focusing on the language and behaviors that show us how much control they have over their own life and/or the lives of others.
