Can someone give me a good starting claim why “women’s menstrual products should be free”

Women did not choose to have periods, and you can not do anything about it unless you have expensive surgeries.  Homeless women also can not have good hygiene if they don't have products to help with it, and most of them can not afford them because they can be pricey.
