2.1.9 Write: Prepare Rhetoric and Facts grade 12 English In this assignment, you'll alternate between the roles of historian and critic. You'll pick a fact mentioned in Winston Churchill's "Their Finest Hour" speech and do some research to find out more about it. You'll describe that fact in a well-developed paragraph and then, in another paragraph, analyze how Churchill used that fact to strengthen his rhetoric.
4. Write a well-developed paragraph describing a fact you researched after reading Churchill's speech.
6. Write a well-developed paragraph analyzing the rhetoric of Churchill's speech. Your paragraph needs to identify the purpose of Churchill's speech and explain how he uses the fact you described in your response to question 4 to support that purpose. Your paragraph must incorporate evidence from the speech.
7. Revise your work and put it all together in its final form. You will turn in both of your paragraphs along with a works-cited list.
