The outsiders is a book of of young teens who are in a gang the main character ponyboy he lives with his two brothers after his parents had both died, Ponyboy has all sorts of friends one of the main ones was Johnny he lived with a boy named dally. One day johnny had found ponyboy asking to run away with him and that he got in a fight with dally not wanting to be there anymore so they decided to go although they ran into some trouble with a gang that did not like them, they draggeed ponyboy and started to drown him in the founation johnny stabbed bob quickly who was trying to kill his friend instead bob had died. Johnny and ponyboy ran quickly to dally asking him for help he told them to get on a train for them to run away then to go to a hill where a church would be for them to hide away and not get caught so they did so. When they were safe there that until one day they went out with them living a lighter behind a group of young kids came there for a feild trip a fire had spread in the church when ponyboy and johnny had came back they saw the little kids there crying with the teachers trying to figure out what to do. They both jumped in the fire throiwng out the kids saving them as they save the last one a roof collapses, just as they save the last child, and Johnny knocks Ponyboy through the window, saving him. Later on johnny died from burns and a spinal injury. This book impacted me as a person because it showed me how good things can go even if its down you can think ''how worse can it get, how worse can it be?'' And then before you know it everything goes down in a quick second without you even seeing it, Ponyboy didnt have a good life he was in a gang with all of his only friends and brothers he got in even more trouble running away with his good friend even though in the end it didnt work out in the end from him not facing any chagres or going to a boys home.
