Dogs are very beneficial as watch dogs or trained dogs that help with anxiety or PTSD. They are very aware of their surroundings and when trained can sense something that is wrong or out of the ordinary to help a person in need of comfort. They can smell scents 10,000-100,000 times better than humans meaning they can smell the scent from a piece of clothing miles away and are very helpful in investigations.
