Think about an impactful moment in your life (preferably one that helped you become who you are -OR- changed your thinking in some way). Write the scene of this moment IN DIALOGUE ONLY (There
should be no words other than people speaking.) Use your dialogue to:
. show (not tell) the reader who is speaking
show (not tell) the reader where the scene is taking place
Use your scene to demonstrate what you have observed about the format, structure, and punctuation for
dialogue in your chosen novel for class.
Start a new line every time a different character begins speaking. Therefore, your scene should be about
one (1) page.
