Me and my dad micheal went out to a lake once to go fishing and he caught some cat fish, but i wasnt able to catch anything so he told me that i needed to set the hook before i reel back in, He said "when you feel some small tugs and you are sure they are still there then you have to jolt your fishing rod backwards to get the hook stuck inside of the fish's mouth" so I did that and i had caught my very first fish.
