Argumentative Scoring Your essay will be scored using the following:
1. Statement of Purpose and Organization: How clearly did you state your
opinions on the topic? How well did you maintain your focus on the topic? How
well did your ideas flow from the introduction to the conclusion? How often did
you use effective transitions?
2. Elaboration of Evidence: How well did you support your argument with facts?
How well did you use relevant materials from both sources to support your
argument?
3. Conventions: How well did you follow the rules of grammar usage, punctuation,
capitalization, and spelling?
