These plants were widely available when these creatures lived. These dinosaurs also may have eaten ginkgoes, ferns, and mosses. But these are just guesses; scientists are not sure exactly what most dinosaurs ate. Scientists can examine the teeth or the fossilized materials in a dinosaur's stomach. This gives them some ideas. But until a recent discovery, there had been very little fossil evidence to study. The lack of skulls has been a major problem.
