Question: Revise the following essay so that it's more appropriate for the task, purpose, and audience described in the prompt. Passage/Prompt: Schools across the country are using various security measures, such as metal detectors, security guards, and video cameras. Write an essay for your school principal to explain why security measures are needed at your school and what form those potential security measures should take. Essay:I arrive at school around 8:00, and classes start at 8:15. I usually meet my buddy Brandy by the front steps, and we hang out until the bell rings. I have homeroom every Thursday, which is kinda boring. But we don't have any metal detectors or anything like that at the school. There's a camera by the lunch tables, but I don't think it works. Maybe other schools might need metal detectors and security guards, if there's a problem with guns or violence. But video cameras are going a little too far. That's a violation of privacy for sure. If a school did set up cameras, they shouldn't be set up near bathrooms or locker rooms. There should be some things just kept private, you know?
