What does the word settle means​

It has many meanings, these are them all
1) to agree, or come to an end with
example: me and my friend wanted to buy a candy bar. we settled on splitting the price and both paying half.
2) to fix or resolve a problem
example: everyone was arguing but me and some others helped settle things down
3) adopt a more steady lifestyle, to rest for a little
example: when i grow up i will marry someone so we can settle down and raise a family
