The Apology of Socrates is a work that presents the defence of Socrates in front of Athenian courts when he was accused of impiety and corrupting the young. In this text he developed the main points of his philosophy by trying to defend himself against his accusers. He also made several references to the history and mythology of the Greeks in order to caution and advise his fellow citizens in order to prove that he was pious and that his teachings were honorable. Mathematics were not involved in any way though.
